I would recommend it to anyone. A good knowledge of 61511 + 61508 needed. Ideally the Method course.
Well worth doing for this focused area of the SIS lifecycle... so often missunderstood in the process industries
Practical experience calculating SIL values for various configurations
Recommend sitting 61511 first
Very worthwhile, enhanced my understanding of a life-cycle topic I have very little experience in.
Excellent content/course for application of verification in workplace
Quite a lot of things will be clearer but need to be taken away and applied
Very useful to those with an existing understanding of the subject
A lot more to verification than just PFD calcs and HFT
Interesting hearing others experience
Good course to improve knowledge from 61511 course
Good exchange of ideas, going forward a new basis for me
Essential for understanding SIL calculations by understanding what is acceptable to extrapolate...
Good for developing audit capabilities
Course was a good refresher and new learnings on check sheets and CASS
Have good background knowledge of difficult examples you have encountered to bring to the table.
Base knowledge is a must including base SIF calcs and acronyms / understanding of terms
Slightly improved, raised confidence, re-inforced/reminded on some aspects.
I have learned to challenge assumptions made by suppliers to provide evidence of compliance
Bring some examples of practical problems found within your project. Copies of bad certs and establish why you have chosen the device
Much clearer knowledge of product selection relating to design requirements. Clearer understanding of how figures are acheived.
Highly recommended workshop
I really had the feeling that I wouldn't be getting better quality or level of expertise in any other training environment.
What would you say to anyone thinking of attending this course? Attend!
Learnt about various approaches, CASS templates and how to apply the skills in my role
It's what i need to do and how i need to do it :)
