Simon is Managing Director of Method Functional Safety. Previous roles include instrument & electrical Technical Authority for Petroineos UK Grangemouth Refinery, Finnart Ocean terminal and Dalston Road Terminal, and lead asset care engineer for the refinery Hydrocracker complex.He also has experience of the Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals and Fine Chemicals industries.
Qualifications
- Honours degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronics), both from Edinburgh Napier University, studied part-time whilst working at Syngenta Agrochemicals.
- A fellow of the Institute of Measurement & Control
- Former Chairman of the East of Scotland local section committee and sat on the national Council.
- Currently sits on the functional safety special interest group (FS-SIG) steering committee.
