I've been lucky enough to spend 20 years working with great companies and fantastic people in the process industries. As part of those teams I've helped deliver some significant achievements - not least product managing the product that started life as MTL MOST and which became the IO for Delta V, SIL 2 PAC8000 SafetyNet and a number of other branded products.

While at MTL, I began to work on Functional Safety, which over the years has become my major focus. After the MOST team were acquired from MTL by GE Intelligent Platforms, I took over responsibility for all GE safety products and acted as the internal consultant on all things SIL.

I left GE to set up the UK office for Risknowlogy, in partnership with Dr Michel Houtermans, which evolved in Method Functional Safety following a management buyout.

I now deliver training courses and provide consultancy on all aspects of functional safety.
